VIDEO: Can Moyes take advantage of Kroos strop?

Screen Shot 2014-01-29 at 20.44.48Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has been linked with a move to United during this transfer window and had us on red alert this week after suggesting he’s open to a move. His current deal expires next summer and he hasn’t begun contract negotiations yet.

“I am unable to rule anything out,” he told kicker-Sportmagazin.

Yesterday, Pep Guardiola also confirmed that his future at the club wasn’t secure. “He’s important, but it goes fast in football,” he said. “Here today, there tomorrow.”

In tonight’s game against Stuttgart, Kroos was substituted with less than an hour played and let Pep Guardiola know he was not impressed. He threw his gloves to the floor and refused to shake his team mate’s hand.

With just two days before the transfer window closes, can United make a late move for the 24-year-old midfielder? David Moyes watched him play against Borussia Moenchengladbach last Friday night with one of Kroos’ advisers, Sascha Breese, after chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted talks were deadlocked, claiming that it was “always about money in these negotiations.”

Kroos reportedly wants £150k-a-week, which would put him closer to the salary of the likes of Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Franck Ribery, but Bayern Munich are reluctant to upset their wage structure.
