Algeria have tough competition in Group H and Fegouhli will need to be at his best if they are to reach the second round. A strong runner with quick feet and eye for a pass, he could be an ideal replacement for Gerard Deulofeu at Everton Juan Cuadrado - Colombia, 27, winger Fiorentina's Cuadrado has made some impression this season; 11 goals and five assists have seen him become one of Europe's most coveted wingers with reported interest from Barcelona. He's also partial to the odd stonker of a strike, as Juventus know only too well. Colombia will need him at his best with the absence of Radamel Falcao, and he's ready to deliver. Cuadrado could find himself being looked at by Chelsea as they look to revamp their frontline. Kenneth Omeruo - Nigeria, 20, centre-back The commanding Nigerian centre-back is unlikely to get game time at Stamford Bridge thanks to the arrival of Saint-Etienne defender Kurt Zouma. Recently on loan at Middlesbourgh, the time is right for Omeruo to step up to the Premier League and prove his worth, and a move to Alan Pardew's Newcastle United could be the perfect fit. Rooney makes subtle jibe at Ronaldo over awards

Ronaldo moved on to Real Madrid for a then-world-record fee of £80million in 2009, and the Portuguese star's stellar performances in the Spanish capital have elevated him to a level where many consider him the best player on the planet. Ronaldo's form in 2013 led to him being awarded the FIFA Ballon d'Or for the second time. And Rooney has suggested that the 29-year-old is motivated by such prizes, while he is more focused on helping the collective. "I'm not a player who needs individual awards like Cristiano Ronaldo," Rooney said in a press conference ahead of England's FIFA World Cup opener with Italy on Saturday. "He has to have that and you admire him for that. "I'm more about winning things as a team. "You can see how he is. He wants his moments. It's more important for me to win trophies as a team. "I've won PFA Player of the Year, which is nowhere near as good as winning a trophy with Manchester United. "I've not won anything this year, so hopefully I can do that now."

Diouf eager to take chance to shine at Stoke

The Senegal international, who had long been linked with a switch to Stoke, will finally join the club on July 1 after his contract with Hannover expires. Diouf, who has penned a four-year deal at the Britannia Stadium, has previously had spells with Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers, but struggled to make his mark in the English game. However, the 26-year-old striker returns after a successful stint in Germany, where he scored 26 goals in 57 Bundesliga appearances for Hannover. And Diouf believes that he is now ready to shine in the Premier League. "This is a chance for me to prove myself in the Premier League," he told Stoke's official website. "When I was at Manchester United, I didn't get the chance to play many games and went on loan to Blackburn. "It didn't go as well as I wanted and I opted for a new experience in Germany. "I've had two and a half years with Hannover but I feel the time is right to come back to England and hopefully play a lot of games and do well for Stoke City." Diouf went on to say he already feels at home at the Britannia, and cannot wait to get started at his new club. "I'm very happy to be a Stoke City player because I'm joining a great club," he added. "From the moment I walked through the door everyone was very welcoming and made me feel wanted. "I've come here to try and improve my game, get better as a player and try to be a success. It's an exciting challenge for me. "I can tell the fans of Stoke City I will always try and do my best and look to help the team improve and move forward. "I'm looking forward to the start of pre-season and getting to know my new team-mates."
